I was asked to paint a set of five little fairies for a two year old’s bedroom. The client requested they be based on a story book with “a classical” feel, that she had kept from her own childhood. They should not be too big and not too small and could be dotted about all over the room. Each illustration depicted the character performing a task. This would enable the parent to “make up” a bedtime story focusing on one of the five illustrations painted. These simple fairies were painted and completed within one day.
